Arte in Versiliana: Pozzati, Olivieri, Zappettini, Salvetti

From July 3rd to August 4th it is possible to visit Art in Versiliana, an initiative promoted by the Town Council Office for the Arts, The Versiliana Foundation and CAV Pietrasanta.
The ground floor houses works by Claudio Olivieri, one of the main exponents of analytical painting. The exhibition, entitled “Quali sensi 1972-2010”, follows a historical-museological course. The first floor hosts the exhibition “Anime silenti. Dai segni universali ai segni quotidiani” (Silent souls. From universal to ever day signs) spanning the last fifty years of the career of local artist Concetto Pozzati. The second floor has been dedicated to exhibiting a collection of work by the young designer Andrea Salvetti entitled “Eight rooms with roots”. After exhibiting at Miami Design, Triennale of Milan, Art Basel and Artcurial in Paris, Salvetti brings his work, which merges handicraft and new technology, to Versilia. Lastly, the Fabbrica dei Pinoli hosts Gianfranco Zappettini with a selection of works dating from the sixties to the present day. Zappettini formed part of the Concrete Art movement along with Lucio Fontana, Fausto Melotti and Bruno Munari.
The park features the installation “Mazzolin di fiori” (Small bunch of flowers) by Andrea Salvetti: a 5 metre high cupola of oxidised aluminium flowers, which creates a harmonious dialogue between architecture, sculpture and design.
Visiting hours: Monday to Sunday 18.00-24.00, free of charge.
