Coinciding and in collaboration with the Summer Festival in Lucca there is the exhibition entitled “L’Immagine del suono” (Images of sound): five contemporary art shows, organised by Lucca Summer Festival, Lucca Digital Photo Fest, Museo Lu.C.C.A. – Lucca Centre of Contemporary Art, Museo Nazionale at Villa Guinigi and a number of the town’s art galleries. The aim of this artistic workshop, curated by Alessandro Romanini, is to investigate how much music is a source of inspiration for pictorial, photographic, sculptural and visual art and how much art is an instrument of diffusion of the expressive power of music. The project was created in collaboration with Luca Beatrice, curator of the Italian Pavilion at the Biennial Festival in Venice 2009 as well as numerous and important exhibitions in Italy and abroad including the 2005 Biennial in Prague.
