The Historical Museum, housed in Sant'Anna, the Tuscan Regional Center of the Resistances and seat of the National Peace Park, offers a rigorously historical overview of the events that took place in Versilia during the Nazi occupation. The historical-documentary exhibition tells the phases of the Resistance in Versilia, aspects, episodes and significant characters, based on documents, photographs and newspapers taken from the archive of the Historical Institute of the Resistance of the Province of Lucca and from various publications. Ample space is dedicated to the massacres committed by the Nazifascists in the Tyrrhenian sector of the Gothic Line. You can consult a substantial bibliography relating to the historical period '40 -'45 and visit the photographic exhibition by Oliviero Toscani "Children remember".
