The exhibition “Equilibri” of work by the artist Massimo Caccia, curated by Ivan Quaroni opens at the Gestalt Gallery in Pietrasanta, on Sunday, July 18th (18:30). The protagonists of his work are bizarre animals heavily outlined against flat coloured backgrounds, using enamels on wooden boards. The artist provides us with a colourful panorama on the endless contradictions of contemporary life, where everything hangs in a precarious balance. 18 of the artist’s most recent and previously unseen works will be on show.
As Quaroni states: “In a very cool and detached manner, the artist draws attention to the feral character of his creatures, which, despite the fantastic appearance, preserve a natural murderous instinct […]. Caccia represents a world that is extremely close to the real one, where every being is victim and executioner. In so doing he somehow respects the real balance in nature, creating a metaphor for the fragility and precariousness of existence.”

Massimo Caccia was born in Desio (MI), in 1970.
