Paesaggi e atmosfere. Omaggio a Oreste Paltrinieri

“Paesaggi e atmosfere. Omaggio a Oreste Paltrinieri” is the title of the art exhibition on show from July 16th to August 29th, 2010.
With a wide and varied selection of paintings using oils and other techniques, the exhibition aims to promote the rediscovery of the life and work of Oreste Paltrinieri, an important figure in early 20th century Italian art. Paltrinieri who was born in Verona in 1873, lived for many years in Camporgiano, his mother’s birth place, in Garfagnana, and died in Viareggio in 1966.
The exhibition, curated by Antonella Serafini and Filippo Bacci di Capaci, is divided into four sections dedicated to: the artist’s locations; environments; Garfagnana; and Versilia.
The event, which has free admission, has been organised by Camporgiano Town Council and Tourist Board with sponsorship from the Ministery for Arts and Culture, and support from the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Lucca, Provincia di Lucca, Comunità Montana della Garfagnana and Banca della Memoria, Banca di Credito Cooperativo di Versilia, Lunigiana e Garfagnana, with contributions from Idrotherm 2000, Terra Uomini e Ambiente, Guidi Gino, Apt di Lucca, G.A.L. Garfagnana e Ponti nel Tempo.
