The Contemporary Art exhibition “Sculture in giardino” (Garden sculptures), curated by Gaia Querci. opens Friday, July 23rd, 2010 at the Lombardi Restaurant in Torre del Lago Puccini. This splendid restaurant garden will enlivened by works by two young sculptors, Simone Gelli and Carlo Galli, for two weeks each.
Although the individual artistic aims of these two sculptors differ greatly, they are united by their choice of materials: plaster, bronze and cement.
Work by Simone Gelli will be on show from Friday, July 23rd (20.00) to August 8th; and Carlo Galli from August 13th to 29th.
The event is sponsored by the Department for the Arts of the Viareggio Town Council– along with the support of the Lombardi Restaurant and Michele Satta Wine Company.
