Provincial Ethnographic Museum Don Luigi Pellegrini – Didactics

The route starts from the basement which houses the reconstruction of the cellar, with a nice press for the marc, a vat made from a large chestnut trunk, the still to distill the grappa. The agricultural work room displays the tools to process milk, shell, clean and store cereals, beat, dry and grind chestnuts. Among the suggestively recreated domestic environments, two bedrooms and the kitchen with its furnishings. Crafts and various activities follow: spinning hemp, cotton and wool, weaving, cobbler, carpenter, blacksmith, knife grinder, wax factory, and the fascinating sample of pots in copper, mortars, scales, steelyards, glass capacity measurements used in taverns. The old costumes worn by the actors during the "Maggi", the ancient epic-popular theater that still survives in the Tuscan-Emilian mountains, arouse curiosity.
