The museum is dedicated to the history of the Viareggio Carnival, with information on the techniques for making large papier-mâché floats. There are works in clay and papier mache: models of heads, bas-reliefs, all-round figures, some animated with levers and ropes. There are also postcards that reproduce the official posters of the Viareggio Carnival from 1925 to today, and the corresponding posters. In some bulletin boards it is possible to admire original works by well-known artists who, like Uberto Bonetti, worked for the Carnival.
