“Buenos Aires Café” – Photography exhibition by Lucia Baldini

From February 19 to March 7, 2011, the photography exhibition “Buenos Aires Café” by Lucia Baldini will be on show at the Palazzo Mediceo and the Scuderie Granducali in Seravezza (Lucca) as part of the Seravezza Photography 2011 festival. The inauguration will be attended by the photographer Lucia Baldini, and Michela Fregona, who will also present the book, “Buenos Aires café”, of which they are coauthors.
Lucia Baldini’s photographs relate the atmosphere found in the cafés of Buenos Aires, meeting places loved by artists and poets who found inspiration for their artistic development in the Argentinean city; Pirandello had the Tortoni; García Lorca the pastry shop of the Hotel Castelár; Roberto Arlt the Café Margot and Borges the garden of La Biéla.
On March 5 and 6, Lucia Baldini will hold a theatre photography workshop as part of the festival entitled “La narrazione del palcoscenico” (Narration of the stage).
