“My story with Samuel Beckett in Portobello” – Photography exhibition by Margherita Lazzati

From April 2 to June 5, 2011, the 18th century Blockhouse in Forte dei Marmi will host “My story with Samuel Beckett in Portobello”, the photography show by Margherita Lazzati. The exhibition, sponsored by the Tuscany Region, Province of Lucca and Town Council of Forte dei Marmi and promoted by the Cultural Circle Il Magazzino del Forte, represents a huge recognition for Margherita Lazzati.
Thirty colour photographs, printed in a large format and mounted on aluminium, recount Margherita Lazzati’s surprise meeting with Samuel Beckett in London in a mural by Alex Martinez in Portobello. The evocative exhibition space of the 18th century Blockhouse offers the public a sequence of images that bear witness to a 4 year story.
