Plates of the hero’s humorous biography in the comic strips by Andrea Paggiaro, alias Tuono Pettinato (Combed Thunder).
In these comical and surreal strips, Paggiaro retells the life of Garibaldi mocking the emphasis of patriotic literature. The Hero is seen here as a simple person, inclined to heroic dashes, but not blessed with political subtleness, in love with libertarian ideals but destined to a bitter and lonely old age.
