Since October 9, 2011, the Fondazione Ragghianti will dedicate a wide retrospective exhibition to Luigi Veronesi (Milan, 1908-1998), painter, photographer, film author, theorist among the main protagonists of the Italian abstractionism.
International figure, Veronesi will be put in comparison with works by authors who left their mark on his development and the definition of his language, such as Kandinskij, Albers, Munari and with some other exponents of the Italian and international art of that time. The aim of the exhibition, which will also have a multi-media feature, is underlining the opening of interests, the dynamic perspective and the inter-code in the Veronesi’ s art, pointing out on two sectors of his wide artistic production: the abstract cinema and the “chromatic visualizations of music”, where his will of creating rhythms and visual harmonies mainly reveal themselves and of widening the painting to the musical dimension of the time.
