La Fanciulla di Vagli. Il percorso di una ricerca / The Lass of Vagli. The lines of research

The tomb ‘a cassetta’ that at the Murata in Vagli di Sopra held the burnt remains of an adolescent girl (the “Fanciulla di Vagli”) between 200 and 180 B.C. is at the centre of the exhibition in the “Casermetta” of the National Museum of Villa Guinigi in Lucca.

But which research instruments have made possible the reconstruction of the identikit of this “Fanciulla”?
This question will be addressed on 20 October, at 3 pm, by Giulio Ciampoltrini, Paolo Notini and Simona Minozzi – authors of the book “La Fanciulla di Vagli. Il sepolcreto ligure-apuano della Murata a Vagli di Sopra” – in a talk in the company of the materials (ceramics, garments and ornaments) displayed in the “Casermetta” of the National Museum of Villa Guinigi and the Ligurian –Apuan section of the Museum.

The authors will be available for questions and further explanations until 5 pm, also to give the LuBeC 2011 participants the opportunity to visit the exhibition.
