The five finalists are:
Francesca Petrizzo – “Memorie di una cagna”, Frassinelli;
Maria Rosa Nuvoletta – “Legami d’amore”, Fanucci editore;
Benedetta Tobagi – “Come mi batte forte il tuo cuore”, Einaudi;
Roan Johnson – “Prove di felicità a Roma est”, Einaudi;
Donato Carrisi – “Il suggeritore”, Longanesi.
The “Premio Letterario Massarosa” is one of Italy’s oldest literary awards. The event’s first edition, aimed at praising new works and promoting literary production, dates back to 1947, founded by a group of “unruly” university students. Interrupted in 1970, the award was re-established in 2004 with its XVIII edition.
