3D2D. Tridimensions Today

3D2D. Tridimensions Today

From August 7th to 30th “3D2D. Tridimensions today. Investigation of plastic art, in creation and transmission of knowledge” takes place at the Fabbrica dei Pinoli, Villa la Versiliana. The exhibition compares 3 different ways to interpret contemporary sculpture and its teaching.

On show, works by Aron Demetz, Michelangelo Galliani and Fabio Viale, three artists, who, despite being under 40, have already received important national and international recognition from the public and art critics.

The three sculptors share a similar creative approach in terms of process. Their work explores the hybridization of materials and techniques, with technological inserts and “integrations” of performance and cinematographic video, while keeping true to a “classic” solid installation from an expressive and structural viewpoint. No material is barred from use in the creation of these three-dimensional aesthetic elements, which adapt techniques and approaches to their expressive goals.

The exhibition is part of the event “Arte in Versiliana”, organised by Town Council Culture Office, Fondazione La Versiliana, and CAV (Centre for Visual Arts) Pietrasanta.
