“4 + 4 e ½. Per avvicinarsi a Fellini” (4 + 4 and ½. To come close to Fellini) – Giovani Possenti
Fellini’s films on canvas. From July 4th – 25th, the one-man exhibition of Lucca born artist Giovani Possenti “4 + 4 e ½. Per avvicinarsi a Fellini” is on show at the new premises of the Fondazione Banca del Monte di Lucca in piazza San Martino, Lucca.
The magical world of Fellini is brought to life through 15 artworks including oil-painting on canvas and paper and a number of wooden sculptures, in tribute to the creator of the mythical “La dolce vita”.
The exhibition will be inaugurated on (Sunday) July 4th at 21.30, attended by the artist, his followers and the town authorities. Visitors are welcome, free of charge, from July 5th to 25th: Monday to Friday 15.30-19.30, Saturday and Sunday 10.00-19.30.
Biography
Giovanni Possenti was born in 1971 in Lucca where he still lives and works today. He has a classical education and his passion for drawing dates back to childhood. He chooses to represent a world of fantasy and imagination that exists in parallel to reality, based on his inexhaustible interpretation of texts from a wide range of periods and places.
