Today's subject is Trout and spelt.
Garfagnana Spelt opens the sixth edition of the Mediceo Aperitif. The trout was not chosen at random. Well, the center of the beautiful inner courtyard of Palazzo Mediceo, is surmounted by a lintel where is placed a trophy depicting a trout that according to a popular legend is the copy of the one fished in 1603 by Maria Christina of Lorraine in the stream Vezza, not far away from St. Paul's church in Ruosina.
