Three-hundred and nine woodcuts are the whole core of this exhibition that shows the evolutions of a very special book, The Adventures of Pinocchio, from the starting idea to the printing on handmade paper. A really amazing work that of Bartolini (1932-2007) made for the commemorating edition of Carlo Collodi's masterpiece, in 1983.
Thanks to the illustrations the spectator becomes aware of the world from which Pinocchio was originated, a world completely underrated by the techonolgical rise. The exhibition re-enhances the long journey of a monumental work of art that was realized during 12 years of hard work, starting from the sketches towards the engraved works, the printing proofs ant the book in which text and illustrations entangeld, aim together to enlive the novel.
The exhibition is curated by the National Foundation Carlo Collodi.
il 4 settembre In occasione dell'iniziativa "Chi trova un museo trova un tesoro", l'amministrazione comunale di Pietrasanta offre una visita guidata gratuita alla mostra in Palazzo Panichi e alla collezione permanente dei bozzetti conservati nel complesso Sant' Agostino.
La visita si svolgerà su due turni alle ore 19:00 e 21:30 con un numero massimo di 30 partecipanti. Si consiglia pertanto la prenotazione.
