“Caprignana – Fragments of history and images of village life, along the Alpine trails, the roads of the world” is the photography exhibition on show at the parish hall in Caprignana, open for the whole of August.
The exhibition consists of a collection of documents to which the entire town, including “returning emigrants” from around the world, have collaborated: a photography exhibition on the history of the town, its protagonists, their daily life, the traditions and anniversaries, the objects from the past, to give life to the identity and collective memory of a small Apennine community, marking the peak period for the return of people with affective ties to it.
The exhibition, with free admission, forms part of the “Parco nel Mondo” Project. The inauguration takes place 1 August at 5pm, attended by Fausto Giovanelli, President of the National Park of the Apennine Tosco Emiliano, Paolo Fantoni, President of the Garfagnana Town Council Union and Pier Romano Mariani, Mayor of San Romano in Garf.na. The occasion also sees the awarding of new Honorary Citizenship of the Apennine Tosco Emiliano.
