Every year on July 27, the date of birth of the poet Giosuè Carducci, whom was awarded in 1904 the Nobel Prize for literature, the award ceremony of the poetry prize named after him is held.
This year at 9:30 pm in Piazza Duomo the meeting with the finalists of the section "Poesia Edita". Protagonists of the evening will be Azzurra D'Agostino with "Alfabetiere privato" (Edizioni LietoColle), Noemi De Lisi with "La stanza vuota" (Giuliano Ladolfi editore), and Gian Mario Villalta with "Telepatia" (Edizioni LietoColle).
The jury is formed by five members and chaired by Ilaria Cipriani. The other members are: Stefano Dal Bianco, Silvia Bre, Umberto Fiori and Antonio Riccardi.
The evening will also be accompanied by Mimma Briganti, (soprano), Paola del Verme (piano), and by the dance school Emox Balletto.
Furthermore, at 11:00 am at the poet's house in Valdicastello, the award giving ceremony of the contest "La poesia nella scuola" and the meeting "Dialogo sulla poesia" of the students with the jury members and the finalists, is programmed.
