"DAVID LYNCH. Lost Images. L'indiscreto fascino dello sguardo" - il protagonista del Lucca Film Festival in mostra con una collettiva fotografica / "DAVID LYNCH. Lost Images. The indiscreet charm of gaze" - protagonist of Lucca Film Festival holds a photography exhibition

Lucca Film Festival is held at the start of the autumn in the centre of Lucca, and chooses David Lynch as the protagonist of this, its tenth edition (28 September – 3 October 2014).

As well as the complete retrospective of his films, following “Dark Optimism”, the exhibition at Pietrasanta, the Festival will present the national preview of DAVID LYNCH. Lost Images. The indiscreet charm of gaze, in the new spaces of the State Archive from 20 September to 9 November 2014.

The exhibition, curated by Alessandro Romanini, brings together around 70 works including photographs and lithographs, created by the director and mostly unseen in Italy, along with largely unknown projections.

The exhibition is divided into two series of large and small, black and white photographs: Small Stories and Women and Machines; and a selection of lithographs created after 2007; and a documentary made by Lynch about “Idem Paris”.

Among the “lost images” imprinted on paper, we find dreamlike and surreal visions, that retrace the entire creative career of the artist, touching the themes of most importance to him and often recalling scenes from his most famous films.

Lost Images is open, with free admission, from Tuesday to Sunday – hours 10-13 / 16-20.
