De Rerum Natura is the project for the summer 2015 of the Barbara Paci Gallery, curated by Enrico Mattei,
divided into two large exhibitions:
-
Supra Terram by Andrea Collesano (5 – 26 July)
-
Infra Terram by the Romanian artist Lia Pascaniuc and Florentine Michelangelo Bastiani. (25 July – 9 August)
The main theme of the project is Nature and its safeguard in terms of protection, environmental sustainability, defence of the endangered flora and fauna, exploited without mercy or destined to become extinct. These are the themes around which the artistic quest of these three artists has always revolved, and constitute, for the galleries and curator of the entire project, Enrico Mattei, a personal interest that goes beyond simple compassion or momentary enthusiasm for such current issues.
An exhibition art works and an artistic project that aims to raise the awareness and involvement of the public on an aesthetic and ethical level, on the fact that formidable Nature and the wonderful beings that populate the land and sea, are our only, last extraordinary hope for a better world and life.
The Contest involves five Environmental Associations internationally recognised and respected for their commitment to defending animals and the environment: Sea Shepherd, Save the Dogs, A.N.P.A.N.A, African Parks and the Rifugio degli Asinelli (Donkey Sanctuary).
