These works will be on show at Palazzo Delle Esposizioni della Fondazione BML, 1-22 September.

The exhibition is free and will be accompanied by music composed and performed for the occasion by Lucca born guitarist Saverio Rapezzi.

the exposition is curated by Marco Palamidessi

Dariush studied Decorative Art and Interior Design in Teheran and took part in the Biennial of Iranian Contemporary Painters. In 1972 he left Persia and moved to Florence in Italy, where he graduated in Architecture. He now lives between Tuscany and Brittany. His Lucca home, near Valdottavo, has proved to be an ideal location for artistic inspiration. As painter, poet, writer, engraver and illustrator, Dariush’s passion remains the human figure, with clear references to Persian miniatures.

Uri Negvi was born in Montevideo, Uruguay. He later moved to Israel, and has lived and worked in Buenos Aires since 2001.

Katerina Ringsi studied Graphic and Textile Design at the University of California. After graduating, she continued her studies at University of Georgia in Cortona, Tuscany. She also studied drawing and painting in Florence, Germany and the United States. She presently lives and works in Italy and Zambia. She specializes in a semi-impressionist and abstract style of painting, and especially in watercolour still-lives, pastel landscapes and oil paintings of animal and vegetal subjects. In Italy, Katerina Ringsi seeks to celebrate the architecture and its harmonious fusion with the natural landscape, made possible by centuries of “genius and expertise”.
