Villa Argentina, Viareggio's Art Nouveau jewel, hosts every Wednesday afternoon a meeting between writers and readers. The event is promoted by the 'Villa Argentina' Promotion Committee in collaboration with the 'Viareggio Lungomare Bookstore'. At the end, an aperitif will be offered to the participants.
In today's meeting the book "Il destino del 6" by Susanna Benassi and Claudio Lucetti ( Planet Book ) will be presented.
Fate is the topic of the novel having Sara and Arturo as protagonists. The two young persons do not know each other, but at different times they contact a seer reading their future: one day they will be in a place where people "leave and return" and meet someone who will be important for their existence . Soon after, there will be the first encounter between them and they will give life to a game in which every person communicates with his/her own (artistic and scientific) language, a metaphor of coexistence of instinctive and rational elements in each individual. At the same time, a series of characters resembling the greatest arcans of the cards will be involved in human intricacies, and will investigate to find the resolution of an enigmatic theft looking inside themselves, one with the other's help, to know themselves better.
Susanna Benassi was born in Pietrasanta in 1966. Since 2007 he has written articles and interviews, mainly in the artistic and scientific fields, for the viviversilia.it site. He published 'The Camel of Desire' in anthology / Young Holden 2016 Prize. Claudio Lucetti was born in Carrara in 1965. He graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Pisa where he also obtained specialization in Neurology. He is the author or co-author of various scientific publications on neuroscience. The two authors have published the "L'ombra della clessidra" story in the Antologia / Young Holden 2015 Prize.
