DIALOG – Romanian sculptors in Italy

DIALOG is the title of the exhibition on show at the Cloister of the Church of Sant’Agostino: an encounter with Rumanian art, which is increasingly present on the international scene. On show works by Marina Bors, Dan Istrate, Petre Mogosanu, Romina Michita and Benone Olaru.

The five sculptors come from an academic background and have refined their technique working as artisans. They share a rich background of artistic experiences that have brought them from Rumania to work in the Apuan-Versilia area.

Marina Bors, Dan Istrate, Petre Mogosanu, Romina Michita and Benone Olaru each have 5 works on show. The larger pieces are arranged in the Church of Sant’Agostino cloister garden and those of small and medium proportions in the Grasce room.
The various materials used include marble, metal and wood, and the artistic languages range from abstract to figurative.
