“DonnaScultura” on show in Pietrasanta

From February 12 to March 13, 2011, the work of four International artists will be on show at the Church of Sant’Agostino in Pietrasanta.
The protagonists of the IX edition of DonnaScultura – the exhibition dedicated to women’s sculpture curated by Valentina Fogher and Chiara Celli – will be four sculptors from diverse origins: Stefania Brandinelli from Italy, Veronica Fonzo from Argentina, Almuth Tebbenhoff from Germany and Maja Thommen from Switzerland.
To make known their respective expressive languages, each artist has chosen a technique, theme, material and forms that the visitors can discover through the forty odd works on show. In particular, the genesis of one piece of sculpture that each artist considers particularly significant in their creative development will be illustrated with photographs, drawings and sketches.
DonnaScultura is an initiative of the Departments of Art and Equal Opportunities of Pietrasanta Town Council, curated by Valentina Fogher and Chiara Celli.
