The meeting, curated by Silvestra Bietoletti is entitled: Enrico Ridolfi: promotore della cultura artistica lucchese nel secondo Ottocento.
The paintings of Michele Ridolfi (Lucca 1793-1854), left by his son Enrico to the Lucchese Academy of Sciences, Letters and Arts and exhibited in a room of the museum dedicated to him, are the starting point of the conversation on the work of the young Ridolfi who in 1854 abandoned his career as a painter and worked with skill and passion to the conservation of the artistic heritage of Lucca, and, simultaneously to the promotion of young artists of the city, taking on over the years more and more influential positions.
At the end of the conference will follow a guided tour of the Palazzo Mansi room dedicated to Michele Ridolfi.
