Every Tuesday and Thursday creative workshops for children aged 4 to 10 years, combined with thematic tours of the museum, will be held at the Archaeological Museum A. C. Blanc. The project aims to integrate recreational activities with a first approach for the young visitors to some aspects of the life of our ancestors, such as the artistic production, weaving and feeding.
Today, Tuesday August 1st 2017 is scheduled the workshop: The wizard's mask.
Children are invited to create a mask similar to those used by the prehistorical shamans, but also by the modern ones, as it is testified by the cave paintings.The mask will consist in a cardboard sheet and willl be then decorated with natural materials such as shells, feathers, seeds, stones and so on.
The workshops are held in the garden of the Civic Museums of Villa Paolina (in case of rain will be used the classroom inside the Archaeological Museum of Man "A. C. Blanc).
All elaborated works of art will be given to the children at the end of the experience.
