From October 23 to November 21, the exhibition “Robespierre. Mai così vicino alle stelle” (Robespierre. Never before so near the stars) by Fabio De Poli will be held at the Usher Gallery in Via della Zecca in Lucca. Collages by the artist dedicated to the figure of Robespierre are on show.
Fabio De Poli, born in Genova, in 1947, studied graphic advertising in Florence under the guidance of Lucio Venna. He now lives and works in the Tuscan capital where he recently created the window installations for the Meyer children’s hospital.
On his website the artist writes: “In my line of work it is easy to dry up creatively and feel paralysed. During those times the work produced is worthless. When value is there, working comes easily. Anything you may have heard to the contrary is a load of rubbish.”
