On June 21st, the Summer solstice, the European Festival of Music is celebrated throughout Europe. Born in France in 1982, the event has taken on an international character since 1995, involving simultaneously more than 60 European cities and becoming a real social phenomenon in which amateur and professional musicians invade streets, courtyards, squares, gardens, stations, museums Performing in free concerts.
Since 2002, thanks to the work of AIPFM (Italian Association for the Promotion of the Music Festival), more than 280 cities have joined in Italy, creating a network distributed throughout the country.
In the province of Lucca, on Wednesday 21 June, the towns of Camaiore and Viareggio will participate.

h. 21:00 – Camaiore, Teatro dell'Olivo – The solists of the Group “Bruno Maderna” will involve the public in a fine concert. The soprano Felicita Brusoni, the flutist Riccardo Lippi and the harper Francesca Boem will play music by Haendel, Bizet, Saint-Saens, Bach, Ravel, Puccini and Scarlatti.
h. 18:30 – Viareggio, at bar Fappani on Belvedere delle Maschere – Aperitif Concert of the Brass Quintet of the Puccini Festival orchestra that will play music by Puccini, Verdi, Mouret and Bach.
