The tradition of florists at Corpus Domini was born in Rome in the 17th century as an expression of the Baroque festival and hence spread throughout Italy.
At Barga there is a participatory and evocative procession that starts from the Church of the Sacred Heart to arrive at the Duomo. The "Body of Christ" is brought solemnly into a procession along a path enriched and colored by the classics of the inflorate, sacred images made with flower petals, sand and colored sawn.
