The tradition of "infiorate" (flower carpet) at Corpus Domini was born in Rome in the 17th century as an expression of the Baroque festival and hence spread throughout Italy.
In Capannori the traditional 'infiorata' of Corpus Christi is an ancient tradition involving the various communities of the area, which in the previous days go to the fields looking for the finest flowers and prepare colorful carpets from the early hours of the morning of the holiday day .
In the hamlet of Camigliano About 200 people, starting at 7:00 in the morning, begin to make the rug with the flowers in the avenue that leads to Villa Torrigiani.
In the afternoon, at 6pm, the Holy Mass takes place in the parish church, followed by the procession on the streets of the village.
