The tradition of florists at Corpus Domini was born in Rome in the 17th century as an expression of the Baroque festival and hence spread throughout Italy.
In Capannori the traditional 'flowering' of Corpus Christi is an ancient tradition involving the various communities of the area, which in the previous days go to the fields looking for the finest flowers and prepare colorful carpets from the early hours of the morning of the holiday day .
On Sunday, June 18th, a colorful carpet of flowers will be made from the early hours of the morning on the square of the church of Capannori.
