Since 1994 the Via Francigena has been declared the Cultural Route of the Council of Europe.
The aim of the Francigena International Arts Festival is to enhance the Tuscan stretch with musical events organized in the various municipalities belonging to Via Francigena Toscana.
It takes place in Altopascio The first appointment with the new edition of the Festival that will enliven various villages and towns along the Via Francigena, exalting and promoting its historical tradition.
This is the program of today Thursday, July 13
at 9:15 pm – Altopascio, piazza Ospitalieri, the Duo Reminescence. Marco Vanni, saxophone soprano- Massimo Signorini, accordion.
The program ranges from ancient to modern music without distinction of gender and musical style. Among the various music programs ranging from classic to world music, a particular attention deserves the one dedicated to the musical accompaniment of mute movies with original compositions by Marco Vanni.
