Since 1994 the Via Francigena has been declared the Cultural Route of the Council of Europe.
The aim of the Francigena International Arts Festival is to enhance the Tuscan stretch with musical events organized in the various municipalities belonging to Via Francigena Toscana.
It takes place in Altopascio The first appointment with the new edition of the Festival that will enliven various villages and towns along the Via Francigena, exalting and promoting its historical tradition.
