From victims to executioners: on show work by a policeman and ex-carabineer, or rather: “Gli insospettabili della satira” (The unsuspected of satire)

From 13 December to 18 January, the exhibition “gli insospettabili della satira”, that brings together the work of Enrico Parrini and Pino Nuziante, will be on show at the Museum of Satire and Caricature, at the Fortino in Forte dei Marmi

A vice superintendent and ex-carabineer dominate the scene of the last annual exhibition at the Fortino; not as the protagonists of jokes, but as their illustrators. For years, independently from each other and in different ways, these two figures have enthused the residents of Forte dei Marmi and others, creating witty and entertaining satirical cartoons.

Parrini, famous for the covers of the Pescia newspaper “Il cittadino”, depicts local events through drawings that retell the story with irony, and without the need of punchlines.

Nuziante, on the other hand, works online and uses the art of photomontage to emphasise the salient characteristics of local figures with sarcasm.
