In Tuscany are still alive today several popular dramatic forms: May dramatic representation of the Holy Nativity and the massacre of the innocents, Gelindo, Sacred representation of the Passion, Bruscello, Gypsy, Buffonata, Farce of the crafts, carnival Testament, saw the old. With the exception of the latter all the others are present and productive in the province of Lucca.
This great variety of forms of expression is distributed in different areas of the Lucca area: in Garfagnana, in Compitese, in historical Versilia.
Sunday, August 7 in the picturesque scenery of Mont'Alfonso Fortress of Castelnuovo di Garfagnana will stage "Geneva of Scotland" .It perform the singers of May of the Society of Filicaia – Gragnanella – Casatico.
A choice specially commissioned to mark the Orlando Furioso by Ludovico Ariosto.

The fortress is connected with the historical center of Castelnuovo with free shuttle bus. From Via Garibaldi (in front of Hotel Il Carlino) from 10.30 to 12.00 and from 16.30 to 17.30
