Stazzema celebrates Nerina Simi, daughter of Filadelfo, and the art school she directs, with the exhibition entitled: “Gli allievi di Nerina Simi, il cenacolo stazzemese”.
These two exhibitions start 12 July and run until 17 August at Palazzo della Cultura in Cardoso and Casa del Berlingaio in Stazzema.
The first exhibition presents the work of 34 renowned Italian and foreign painters, who studied at the Florentine school founded by Filadelfo and directed by his daughter.
The second exhibition shows the canvases of the Stazzema Upper Room: 8 artists, including Nerina and Filadelfo Simi, who on different levels have characterised the local and national history of art and found themselves in the town of Stazzema in the early 20th century drawn by personalities of the members of the Simi family, passing days of work, rest and play in the town immersed in the mountains of the Apuan Alps.
