The Province of Lucca has organised a series of guided tours to promote awareness of the Romanesque churches in the Brancoli and Versilia area.

Parish Church of Saint Giorgio in Brancoli
The impressive bell tower leaning over the façade of the Church of Saint Giorgio acts as a sentry to a place where medieval features can still be admired today in all their extraordinary richness. There is an evident classicism to the overall arrangement, following the example of the plan and smooth walls of the Church of Saint Alessandro in Lucca, which was also built in the second half of the 11th century.
