IAM International Music Festival – Duke Ellington

The International Academy of Music Festival is one of three European festivals affiliated to the famous Summit Music Festival in New York, the international benchmark in which classical musicians and teachers among the most prestigious in America, in Europe and beyond gather to give life to summer festivals in which they find space for both concert series from the top artistic quality, both of master classes. The same great artists who founded the Summit Music Festival have created three sister events in Europe: in St. Petersburg in Russia, in Burgos in Spain and the most important and the largest by number of involved artists and students, in Castelnuovo di Garfagnana.

Unique formula of the Festival. Celebrated concert artists and emerging talents converge in Garfagnana to give life to intense master classes: the streets of the old town resound from morning to night, for days, the notes of pianos, violins, cellos and horns, in a unique atmosphere that worth about Castelnuovo with the name of "City of Music".
