IL CINEMA E OLTRE - Neruda

After the summer pause under the stars 2016, the film festival Il cinema ed oltre returns to its normal place at theCinema Centrale in Via Battisti, Viareggio.

From September 27 the many movie fans of versilia will appreciate top quality movies in first-run as well as restored masterpieces at really low prices.

The event, organized by the Entertainment Department of Viareggio's Municipality is curated by Dr. Giulio Marlia and usually held every Monday night.

Plot: 1948: Cold War in Chile. Senator Pablo Neruda accuses the government of betraying the Communist Party and was accused by President Gonzalez Videla. The prefect Oscar Peluchonneau must stop the poet who tries to flee the country with his wife. Inspired by the dramatic events of his new life as a fugitive, Neruda writes "Canto General".

The movie participated in the Cannes Festival 2016.

Tickets can be purchased in advance at Cinema Centrale, starting from the Thursday of each week.
