Turislucca and school Italian Cuisine of the chef Gianluca Pardini, in collaboration with the Osteria dal Manzo, offers an unusual guided tour through the streets of the city of Lucca, designed specifically for il Desco. Along the way you will be able to retrace the various historical periods experienced by this ancient small Tuscan capital following as common thread, iconographic images related to the daily food.
From the images of local saints graffiti hidden in the corners of the churches, the marble reliefs bas-reliefs present in the cathedral – representing the months and their symbols of human labor and therefore also of the work of the land – or, again, the nature paintings dead with rich libations of local painters such as Simon delTintore and Pietro Paolini at the national museum of Palazzo Mansi.
Participants will be invited to look with different eyes even some streets where once took place market activity or where Santa Zita, the patron saint of Lucca, has made one of his miracles transforming the bread into flowers when he was still a child.
The visit will end at the inn from Beef, where the participants will taste small samples prepared by Chef Pardini and inspired by what we saw in pictorial representations, and not only along the path made in the historical center.
