The National Company Raffaele Paganini presents "Swan Lake" with the choreography by M. Petipa revisited by C. di Giulio and the International Etoiles from the Ballet of Cuba Vittorio Galloro and Arianne Lafita Gonzalves.
The show comes from an idea of the director and choreographer Luigi Martelletta after his long and intense career as a principal dancer at the Teatro dell'Opera in Rome and in many other Italian and European Theatres, where he danced this spectacular ballet many times. He changes the classic theatrical dramaturgy of the ballet into a form of re-appropriation of reality and common experience based on certain details and particular situations put together in a broad and multifaceted collage.
Strongly linked to the academic tradition, Luigi Martelletta proposes a more simple style, maintaining the original choreography by presenting dances and passages most people know and expect: The swans, the Spanish dance, the Russian dance, the waltz, the pas de deux, and much more. The particularity of this show consists in the combination of fantasy and reality.
