From 21 November to 17 December, the exhibition “Il Sole, la Luna e l’Anima delle cose” is on show at the Lucca Center of Contemporary Art – Lonuge&Underground.
The exhibition, with free admission, brings together paintings by Danilo Fusi and sculptures by Paolo Staccioli. Both artists clearly display an interest in the duality of things and existence: interplay of light and colour for one, of shapes, figures and allegoric hints for the other, they both capture particular moments and situations in scenes with neither beginning nor end.
“If the world is pure representation of the mind and of thought” writes Maurizio Vanni, curator of the exhibition, “trying to substantiate an idea could correspond to a conscious dream. […] Fusi and Staccioli lead us to not always believe what we see.”
