INAUGRATION OF THE CIVIC ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM OF CAMAIORE

In the presence of the city authorities and in conjunction with the regional initiative Amico 2016 Museo will be celebrated after 36 years since the first renovation projcet, the reopening of the Archeological Museum of Camaiore, hosted in Palazzo Tori Massoni, in the heart of the historical center of Camaiore.

 

The palace built by the Orsucci family at the end of 1500, will house the archaeological finds of prehistoric, Etruscan and Ligurian, Roman, medieval and Renaissance periods, found in Versilia and in particular on the hills of Camaiore. These valuable finds, take us back in time and help us to understand how our ancestors lived.

The inauguration ceremony will take place at 11:00 am.
At the end of the ceremony, the public can participate in the guided visits to the exhibition.
The museum will be open with free access also in the afternoon from 3:00 to 6:00 pm.
