From March 27th to April 29th, work by the artist Julio Silva is on show in the “Di-segno Silv(a)estro” exhibition held at the Ugo Guidi Museum and Logos Hotel at Forte dei Marmi.
Born in Argentina in 1930, Julio Silva moved to Paris in 1955 where, along with the great protagonists of the visual arts, he met the writers Julio Cortázar and Saùl Yurkievich, with whom he formed a close collaboration.
His work includes drawings, paintings and monumental marble sculptures, such as “Pyègemalion” at Forum des Halles and Dame- Lune at Esplanade de la Défense in Paris.

This exhibition has been curated by Enrica Frediani and Maria Grazia Gigli, organized by “Museo Ugo Guidi” and “Amici del Museo Ugo Guidi – Onlus” and realized thanks to the contribution by Banca CC Versilia Lunigiana e Garfagnana – CR Lucca Pisa Livorno, with the collaboration of the Town Councils of Montignoso and Forte dei Marmi, Italia Nostra sez. Montignoso, and support of the European Union, International Council of Museums, Regione Toscana, Toscana Musei, Edumusei, Sistema Museale della Provincia di Lucca, Province of Lucca, APT Versilia and APT Massa Carrara.
