Two German soldiers, an American soldier who is the son of emigrants from Capannori, and two evacuees from Leghorn, encounter and form a counterpoint to figures from Lucca, and the Miller’s house becomes the the macrocosm, in caricature, of the complex situation of that time.

The theatre performance in Lucca dialect by the theatre company “Gli amici di Piazza di Brancoli”, concludes the series of events celebrating 70 years of liberation, organised by Lucca Town Council and sponsored by the Provincial Authorities of Lucca in collaboration with the Theatre Company Gli Amici di Piazza di Brancoli and The Committee Paesano Aquilea – Sagra della zuppa.
