La poesia del quotidiano – Nicola Vitale

La poesia del quotidiano - Nicola Vitale

Large, dilated images, occupying almost the entire canvas: Nicola Vitale’s message starts with examining an everyday detail or viewpoint that is mistakenly perceived from another perspective, exposing a whole new world, which still however remains what is under our noses. It’s similar to when we turn over an old tree trunk and find that it’s teeming with various forms of life beneath. With his distinctly strong and ironic use of language, Vitale takes the opportunity to denounce situations that everyone can easily recognise – traffic, pollution, ecological oversights – but would rather side step by pretending not to see them.
The exhibition features a conference, held by Nicola Vitale, “L’arte oggi, tra decadenza e rinnovamento” (28 December, 2010, 5.30 pm)
