The open-air theater in the Park of Villa La Versiliana is home to the eponymous Festival, a season that includes two months of performances of great appeal in a balance between drama, dance, music and cabaret, in the skilful combination of tradition and innovation.
Next to the theater program and next to the afternoon meetings at the famous literary Café launched by Romano Battaglia, a highlight of the festival is the Children space, an equipped area where every afternoon children can play, read books, participate in workshops, watch educational shows inspired by the European fairy tale or amazing magic pefrormances.
The activities will start on Monday, July 3rd. The common thread of this year is The Dream and in particular the fairy tale of Alice in Wonderland. Curator of the chldren's initiatives is Valentina Benassi again, a young educator who is very much appreciated by the little ones.
In the program, in addition to the daily workshops (h. 5:00 / 7:30 pm), are foreseen 23 shows, that will take place in the Children's Arena.
Today, Tuesday July 18th will be represented. “ALLok!” Juggling, balancing and various arts show.
Among the novleties for children of Summer 2017 stand out the film screenings accompanied by themed animations and workshops, dedicated to the most recent Disney movies and the loud readings for children aged 0-6 by the association Nati per leggere (Born to be readers) (July 14, 28; August 9, 23). Last but not least, at great demand, will be repurposed also in Versiliana YogArt, a funny sort of yoga addressed to children for relaxation and to discover art.
