Le cose oltre le cose – Mariano Moroni

Recent works by Mariano Moroni along with some of his most important pieces will be on show at Villa Bertelli in Forte dei Marmi from March 12.

Mariano Moroni, industrial designer of some of the most renowned Made in Italy produce, contaminates in an original way diverse disciplines in the visual arts, becoming a point of reference in sectors beyond painting and architectural design.
Moroni’s works are inspired by the products and scrap of industry. The potential of the product (thing, object, material) stimulates the creativity of the artist who pushes materials beyond their function through assemblages, large canvases and installations.

Moroni has recently exhibited at Pac (Padiglione d’Arte Contemporanea) in Milan as part of the Rassegna “Nuovi pittori della realtà” and, as a designer, at Jacobs K. Javits Center in New York. His works have exhibited in Paris, Frankfurt, London, Osaka and New York and are included in a number of important public and private collections.
The exhibition is curated by Vincenzo Centorame (President of the Michetti Foundation) and Enrico Mattei (consultant for the artistic initiatives of Forte Dei Marmi Town Council), and is promoted by the Forte dei Marmi Town Council, Villa Bertelli Organisation and the Diorama Association. Open to the public until April 25.
